FROM A HAWKER TO A PASTOR

By Pastor Samuel Ngugi

I was born in the rural village in Murang'a District from a very poor family where even feeding ourselves was a big problem. I ventured into the city of Nairobi in 1984 with the hope of my life setting better. Life in Nairobi became nightmare as a I roamed about seeking a job. Finaly I got a job from an Asian businessman who paid me Ksh.50 (Ksh.50.00 per month).

HUNGER AND FRUSTRATION REPLACED BY HOPE

Sis Susan Muthoni

I left rural area in Murang'a after my Primary Education to try my luck in Nairobi City. Life moved from bad to worse as I tried different kinds of jobs. I remember days when I went without food and clothing , I relied on other people for fare. but I continued to wait upon the Lord. Five years ago Bishop Moses provided me with a seed money to start a small business, of selling clothes; though the business faced much problems and sometimes frustrations, through persistence the Lord gave me stability. Now I am able to support myself, my family and my church and my business is still growing. I give God all the glory.
